Strategy Working Group (SWG)

The Strategy Working Group (SWG) was established by the EHRN Steering Committee (SC) in June 2014. The group is responsible for overseeing and guiding the work to evaluate EHRN’s past performance under the current strategy (2010-2014) and to develop and deliver a strategic planning process for the new 5-year strategy (2015-2019).

It is responsible for overseeing and guiding the work to evaluate EHRN’s past performance under the current strategy (2010-2014) and to develop and deliver a strategic planning process for the new 5-year strategy (2015-2019).

The process of strategic planning is meaningful only when EHRN members from among national harm reduction networks, Eurasian Network of People Using Drugs (ENPUD) representatives guide and inform it. The membership of the Strategy Working Group is representative of EHRN’s key constituencies and consists of 12 members:

EHRN Steering Committee representatives:

ENPUD – Select members of ENPUD represent the community of people who use drugs in the SWG (2 representatives);

EHRN Steering Committee (SC) - Select members of EHRN SC represent EHRN membership and sub-regions (2 representatives);

EHRN Secretariat – Select senior managers of EHRN Secretariat, as the Network’s executive body, represent the staff of EHRN Secretariat (3 representatives);

UN agencies – UNODC represents EHRN’s key international partners (1 representative).
