Regional Program "Harm Reduction Works – Fund it!", carried out by EHRN with the support of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (the Global Fund), was rated А1 based on its successes in the first year of implementation. A1 is the highest available rating for programs implementing the GF grants.

On 26 June 2015 EHRN joins to commemorate the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking and calls to end violence and abuse against people who use drugs, provide access to health services and respect and protect human rights of all regardless their drug use background.

The Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia and EHRN signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the Regional High Level Dialogue “Road to Success” to be held in Tbilisi later this year.

Rates of hepatitis-C infection among injecting drug users in Budapest almost doubled between 2011 and 2014 – in a period when access to harm reduction programs rapidly decreased. Government politicians are still denying the reality, and accuse harm reduction advocates of exaggerating the problem.
