Eurasian Harm Reduction Network - EHRN Global Fund Board Communities Delegation Call for Membership 2012 through 2014
Global Fund Board Communities Delegation Call for Membership 2012 through 2014
November 16, 2011

The Communities Delegation is made up of individuals living with HIV, TB and affected by malaria, and its vision is one in which all communities living with, or affected by HIV, TB and malaria to have equitable access to quality services and support needed to prevent, treat and/or live with these infections within a conducive environment that respects human rights. The mission of the Communities Delegation is to ensure the voices and issues of people living with HIV, TB and affected by malaria influence the deliberations and decisions on investments and programmes of the Global Fund to achieve greater and sustained impact for communities.

Deadline to apply: 12 December 2011 at 1200 GMT

For information on criteria, roles and responsibilities and application process, please see the call for membership and application form.

This call is very important for the communities of the CEECA countries because today our region (23 countries) is represented in Delegation only by two members and this is less then 8% of the whole constituency.

Although the delegation membership is individual applicants must be working with, or for a network or organisation for communities living with or affected by the three diseases. EHRN encourages the directors of those NGOs working with communities and especially implementing GF grants or sub-grants to support prospective community activists in their steps towards becoming a member of Delegation and representing the interests of the communities in it.
